Overview
Spring into The Rhythm and Beat! Join us for conference developed for our Critical Care team that addresses how to nurture our patients by gaining knowledge of recognizing early sepsis; providing tracheostomy & chest tube management; knowing common thoracic condition/surgeries and post-operative complications; and skin integrity prevention. In addition, how to prepare patient's families for worst or best case situations.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Nurse will identify the key elements of timely sepsis care
  2. Nurse will understand and utilize the Sepsis Promise Package, Sepsis Narrator and Sepsis Tracker
  3. Nurse will solve and troubleshoot tracheostomy problems.
  4. Nurse will solve and troubleshoot problems with chest tube management.
  5. Nurse will identify palliative care patient and family needs.
  6. Nurse will apply strategies to address the difficult subject of supportive medicine early in the patient stay.
  7. Nurse will identify the proper wound care prevention tools needed to manage an individual patients need.
  8. Nurse will understand the general principles of cardiogenic shock.
  9. Nurse will understand basic hemodynamics of the cardio patient.
  10. Nurse will identify cardiogenic shock patients who require escalation of care.
  11. Nurse will understand tools to use in identifying and evaluating the needs of cardiogenic shock patients.
  12. Nurse will identify most common thoracic surgery and immediate post-operative complications.
