Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. • Differentiate between normal age-related brain changes and neurocognitive degeneration.
  2. • Demonstrate evidence-informed decisions regarding the choice of cognitive screening measures.
  3. • Identify factors for consideration in communicating with patients and their care partners about dementia.
  4. • Assess different pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic options for behavior management as Alzheimer’s Disease progresses
  5. • Describe strategies for the long-term management of dementia-related behaviors.

The conference is free, but registration is required.

In support of improving patient care, Piedmont Healthcare is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
